Richard Hawkes
Richard established Hawkes Architecture in 2008 following the building of his own pioneering Passive House which featured on Grand Designs in 2009. Since then Hawkes Architecture have become the preeminent national specialists in achieving planning consent for exceptional new "paragraph 80" dwellings in the open countryside.
His own house project, the iconic and ground breaking Crossway Passive House, has become one of Kevin McCloud’s all time favourite Grand Designs projects and has put Hawkes Architecture firmly on the map as architects designing some of the most advanced & inspirational sustainable low energy homes in the country.
Richard enjoys sharing his passion for all issues relating to sustainability, energy conservation and environmental design.
