HPV Series Case Study - Highwood House
From the very early stages of the project, Total Home Environment worked closely with Charlie and Helen to specify the most appropriate system for their home. By assessing the property’s precise heating requirements, based on both internal volume and fabric performance, the HPV Series paired with the HPW 300 was specified to deliver a fully integrated whole-house solution.
Working in partnership with the highly insulated building fabric, the HPV Series and HPW 300 play a key role in the overall performance and sustainability of the home.
The HPV Series provides a continuous supply of fresh, healthy air while retaining valuable heat that would otherwise be lost. By utilising the same ductwork infrastructure, the system also delivers space heating and comfort cooling, reducing the need for additional materials, lowering embodied carbon and supporting the home’s net-zero ambitions. Combining three services within a single system also helped to reduce construction time, simplify on-site coordination and limit the number of trades required.
“The HPV and HPW systems have taken a little fine-tuning to suit our family lifestyle and smart home interface. As per our original goal, the comfort and environment of our home are now taken care of seamlessly in the background, with no intervention. It has met my expectations and delivered. In partnership with our highly insulated, airtight envelope, the system is the perfect partner.”
